Carved
layers of wood. Watch a wave, especially a river wave, and you'll see
waves within waves. At first it appears chaotic, but patterns exist.
A rock upstream forces water one direction, another wave reflects off
a far shore interfering with your wave. Waves combine and combine and
combine. This large wall hanging sculpture puts motion into wood, action
on a wall, fluidity into stillness. The illusory iridescent paint
reflects blue one moment, wood tone the next, just as a real wave might.
It's a school of a thousand fish. It's a flock of birds. It's
pure motion. |
