I can dye this material almost any color. Blue
is my favorite because of my love of water. I can even make rainbows
with careful control of the colors. Sometimes bubbles remain in the
material and the illusion of water trapped on a vertical surface is complete.I have also made lamps and tables with this technique. |
|
This style of my work is made by inlaying
dyed resin. I can make lamps, tables, cabinet doors and, of course,
doors for rooms, homes and businesses. The resins are translucent
- light shines through so when used as a home entry these doors glow outside
at night and inside during the day, wherever the ambient light is stronger.
The wood used for this door is clear vertical grain fir. The
door handle is curly maple. |
| These double doors are the entry
to a master bedroom. Placed at the top of stairs, the carved pulls,
reminiscent of orchid blossoms, mark the portal as an art piece. Behind
the doors one can only expect the finest of comforts, visual and physical.
Woods used are curly maple and fiddleback makoré.
