Proposals
Many times I have made extensive proposals to public art review committees.  Committees, being what they are, have to make a decision.  Sometimes the competition is excellent.  Sometimes they miss a great idea.  Here's a few of them.

Riant Riband (Laughing Ribbon), proposal
Riant Riband (Laughing Ribbon, above) was designed to span a triangular base, reaching 12' high and 45' wide.  The materials are ferrocement, which is largely a steel core of rebar webbing and expanded metal lathe, with embedded white mortar.  The "ribbon" would appear to float above the small park for which it was proposed, in Denver, Colorado.  $85,000.
